Something different.

Just a quick update on a quick fun project. i got a few star wars novelty toys and decided to paint the doubles. As these are key-chains i finished up with a heavy matte varnish. we will see how it holds up!

Its not easy being green.. dodgy ebay sellers and new paints

So there is a little bit of a story with this mini.

I bought this mini on ebay about 6 months ago.i was really excited about getting this guy and the price was amazing. under $5. Holy Shit!!!! well a few weeks later it arrived. oh happy happy joy joy!!

well on opening up the package i find a smashed mini cast from a crap cheep plastic.... rage kicked in!! after a few more weeks the seller was taken down and i felt a little better. i put the bag with smashed mini with my other unpainted stuff and forgot about it..

Time passes....

Last week i revived my first minitaire paints. i have wanted to get my hands on these paints for so long but never really had the cash to drop on them. well the wait is over!! i really wanted to get a full set but cant find any here in Australia so i ordered  what i could from my fav aussie online store and payed for express postage so i could get my hands on these badboys sooner! oh the greens,browns and earth tones. i lost my shit! i love these paints.

now to tie in the new paints and the piece of shit knock off and very broken mini.....


well once i got the new paints i needed something to pint to try these out on! cue the forgotten about renegade. he was in so many bits..   head off, arms in 2 to 3 bits, legs snapped.. i did what i could, basecoated him and went to town with the new paints. i started to really enjoy painting it. i couldn't stop. there were so many issues with the mini that i had to try and hide some and fix others but it just added to the fun and the look of the mini. Happy Happy Happy!
